Biblical Ekklesia is an independent Christian study resource publishing articles, curated recommendations, and answers about the biblical and historical meaning of the Greek word ekklesia. This policy covers this website and the ways you can interact with it.

When you use our contact form we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you enter, so that we can read and reply to your inquiry.

We do not require an account to read the site, and we never ask for information you have not chosen to send us.

Donations are processed by Base44 Payments. Your card number, billing address, and other payment details are entered on their secure checkout and are never sent to or stored on our servers.

We keep a record of each gift — the amount, currency, status, and a reference number — so that we can reconcile donations and answer questions about a specific gift.

We use Google Analytics to understand which studies are read and how visitors move through the site. It records aggregate information such as pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and referring site, and sets cookies in your browser to do so.

This data is not used to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with anything you send us through the contact form.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work — Base44 Payments for donations, Google Analytics for traffic measurement, and our hosting provider — and only for the purposes described above.

Contact messages are kept for as long as they remain useful for correspondence and record-keeping. Donation records are kept as long as needed to satisfy accounting and tax obligations. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' own retention settings.

You can write to us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We will honour reasonable requests, except where we are required to keep a record — for example, a completed donation.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will continue to work normally. You can also install Google's browser add-on to opt out of Analytics entirely.

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and revise the date shown above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
